UFC star Conor McGregor and machine gun Kelly almost come to blows on MTV VMAs red carpet
Machine Gun Kelly and Conor McGregor came to blows during MTV's Video Music Awards red carpet after the singer allegedly "hurled a bottle" at the MMA champ.
While it has not been confirmed what the fight was about, but Conor was caught being held back by his security as MGK stared him down.
An eyewitness told TMZ that Conor, 33, asked MGK, 31, for a photo but he refused, and it escalated into the actor shoving the UFC fighter.
Conor reportedly stumbled and spilled his drink before throwing the rest of it at MGK and his girlfriend Megan Fox.
A separate source told Page Six: "They scuffled then it settled down and Conor went for him again."
Another eyewitness told the website that security had to get involved and “everyone was screaming.”
“[McGregor] was ready to throw fists,” they said, adding, “Security was having trouble holding him back.”
The stars' entourages appeared to try to keep the duo apart but ended up scuffling themselves.
Conor was reportedly escorted out of the venue briefly but made it back in time for the start of the ceremony.
A rep for Conor denied the claims and told The Sun that the Irish star "did not instigate the incident, was never kicked out of the building and is inside enjoying the show."
Meanwhile, engagement rumors have been swirling after Megan, 35, was spotted “with a ring on that special finger,” a source told Us Weekly.
Megan appeared to be wearing an engagement ring while supporting the musician as he prepared for MTV’s Video Music Awards.
Additionally, the insider teased that the two might make a “surprise announcement” during the rapper’s performance at the awards show.
MGK is slated to debut his new single Papercuts at the awards show alongside friend and Blink-182 musician Travis Barker, 45.
Megan and MGK were believed to be an item back in May of 2020, while they publicly confirmed their relationship the following month.
The couple had met on the set of their thriller. Midnight in the Switchgrass.
The Jennifer’s Body actress was previously married to Brian Austin Green, 48, from 2010-2020.
The former couple shares three sons together: Noah, eight, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, five.
Recently, Conor has been currently nursing the broken tibia he suffered in the first round of his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, 32.
He had undergone successful surgery and already started training once again for his return, where he has vowed to win UFC gold again.
The MMA fighter lashed out on social media in order to "deal with losing these fights" since his most recent defeat.
Former UFC champion and British legend Michael Bisping theorized to MMAFighting that Conor “has to believe in his mind that he was going to turn it around in the second round if the leg hadn’t got broken.
"Because if he doesn’t do that, if he accepts ‘I was getting my ass kicked and I probably would have been finished,’ then it’s a chink in the armor.
"It’s starting to accept that I’m not one of the best in the world.”
