Tragic footballer Jordan Sinnott's fiancee reveals heartbreaking fight 10 months after his death

The heartbroken fiancée of footballer Jordan Sinnott has revealed her struggle to have him recognised on their daughter's birth certificate.

Jordan was just 25 when he lost his life following a one-punch attack on a night out in Retford.

At the time, he and partner Kelly Bossons had no idea she was 14 weeks pregnant with their daughter.

Now, 10 months after his passing shocked the UK, the 27-year-old has spoken out and revealed her fight to register Maisie as Jordan’s girl.

She told the Mirror: “Everyone says how much Maisie looks like Jordan. She has his hairline and face shape.

“My heart breaks when I think how much he would have loved her. We have all been cheated of so much.

“He loved his family, my family and wanted nothing more than to create our own.

“Now, thanks to two thugs' brutal jealousy, I am left without the love of my life and Maisie will never know her lovely, funny, kind daddy.”

Kelly also revealed Jordan saved others’ lives because he was an organ donor.

The son of ex Bradford and Crystal Palace ace Lee Sinnott, he played in midfield for Northern Premier side Matlock Town after being a pro for Huddersfield Town and Halifax.

Kelly met him through mutual friends in 2016 and they began a relationship a year later.

Lout Kai Denovan, 23, told him he was a “good-looking lad” who would have “no trouble pulling girls”, unlike himself who was “fat and ginger”.

Believing he was joining in the banter, Jordan said, “Yes, I can see that”.

Denovan, who had drunk five pints of Stella, two pints of Strongbow and three double Southern Comfort and lemonades, punched him.

Jordan and his pals left the pub but Denovan and Cameron Matthews, 21, hit him despite his willingness to apologise.

Matthews floored the footballer, leaving him with a fractured skull and he died of brain damage hours later.

Denovan was jailed for 11 years for manslaughter after a trial at Nottingham Crown Court. Matthews, 21, who admitted manslaughter, got eight years.
