Suspect who cut baby out of Texas woman's womb was her close friend, claims fundraiser

The heavily pregnant Texas woman who died when her unborn baby was cut from her womb was murdered by a “friend,” according to an online fundraiser.

The PayPal fundraiser identified the victim as Reagan Hancock, 22, who was eight months pregnant.

“Reagan Hancock and her unborn baby were selfishly killed by someone Reagan considered a friend,” says the fundraiser, tagged on Hancock’s mother’s Facebook page. It’s raised more than $12,000 since the murder on Friday in New Boston.

Hancock, already a mom of a 3-year-old daughter, had posted about how she was expecting a “SWEET BABYGIRL” on Nov. 10 whom she planned to name Braxlynn Sage.

A Facebook page set up by her mother, Jess Brooks, said she was the one who found her daughter dead on Friday morning.

“Our beautiful daughter Reagan Hancock and her precious unborn baby girl Braxlynn were murdered yesterday by Satan in the flesh,” the post reads. “Our Reagan was one of the most precious people you would ever meet. Please I beg keep us in your prayers.”

A woman was arrested across state lines in Idabel, Oklahoma, after turning up at a hospital with the child, who died, police told KLTV.

The suspect — who has not been formally identified — was charged with the kidnapping and murder of an unborn child.
