Meghan Markle ‘leaked names of royal racists’ to smear the monarch

THE Duchess of Sussex leaked the identities of two race-row royals in an act of revenge, it was claimed tonight.

The pair, named in Omid Scobie’s book, were accused by Meghan in a letter to King Charles of commenting on her baby Archie’s skin colour.

But that note is said to be locked away.

A senior Palace source said: “It’s vanishingly unlikely the names came from here.”

Another royal insider told The Sun: “That letter is under lock and key and no one from within the King’s circle would’ve briefed anyone about its contents.

“In all likelihood, it must have been the Sussex camp which leaked the names.

“It’s a nasty and deliberate attack.”

Experts said the US -based Sussexes — who quit royal duty in 2020 — acted out of spite for the way they feel they have been treated.

Royal author Robert Jobson said: “Some say revenge is a dish best served cold and this one appears to have been served up on ice by the Sussexes.

“At some stage this sort of behaviour by the Sussexes has to stop because in the long term it’s damaging the monarchy and certainly not helping their cause either.”

Scobie — often called “Meghan’s mouthpiece” — spent time in LA researching Endgame, which has been criticised for being heavily biased to the Sussexes.

Meghan initially denied claims she co-operated on his first book Finding Freedom, before eventually admitting she did.

Scobie says in Endgame that he cannot reveal the two names implicated by Meghan due to UK laws.

But, as we revealed yesterday, the Dutch version does contain them and is being pulled as a result.

Scobie denies writing them in any of his drafts but offers no explanation of how they got into print.

He told US TV that he was keeping them to himself, adding ominously, “for now”.

A source close to the Dutch publisher Xander Uitgevers said the translation of the manuscript they were given was “correct”.

They added: “It is very much the feeling that the error has not occurred in Holland.”

Copies around the world were being scrutinised to see if the blunder had been printed elsewhere.

Meghan wrote to Charles in 2021 about two separate incidents where she alleged there was “unconscious bias” about Archie’s colour.

It followed bombshell claims made on Oprah Winfrey’s interview with her and Harry.

Meanwhile, Charles arrived in Dubai to meet world leaders at the COP28 environment conference.

A source said: “The main focus is work and that is what he is doing.”
