Gov Soludo Suspends LG Chairman Mbazulike Iloka for allegedly Beaten His Wife Chidiebere to death
The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has suspended newly appointed Nnewi North Local Government Area Transition Committee Chairman, Mbazulike Iloka for allegedly beating his wife, Chidiebere to death on Sunday.
It was reported that Iloka was suspended by Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State after he was accused of killing his wife and claiming she slumped and died on Sunday morning after serving him breakfast.
Iloka, popularly known as Mba Mba, has been accused of consistently abusing his deceased wife.
According to salemgists, sources familiar with the incident stated that signs of violence were found on her body, while a huge wound on her head further led to a public outcry over her death.
However, a letter signed by the Anambra State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affair, Tony Collins Nwabunwanne, announced the suspension of Iloka and directed him to immediately hand over to the head of local government administration, while an investigation into his wife’s death is ongoing, salemgists reported.
“Following the sad news of the death of your wife, late Mrs Chidiebere Iloka on 7th August 2022, there has been a massive outcry over the circumstances leading to her death, including alleged possible homicide.
“While you are presumed innocent until the completion of investigations, it has become imperative that you step aside to allow unfettered investigation and justice.
“Consequently, you are directed to step aside and to hand over the affairs of the local government to the head of local government administration, not later than 12th August 2022, until further notice.”
However, friends and family took to social media to accuse the suspect of Killing his wife through domestic violence.

Chidi did not slump to dead, she was killed . Her close friends can testify to that and how mba normally brings in girls to her matrimonial home during her working hour. I call on her people and ndị Igboukwu in general to conduct an independent autopsy on her and also consult the most deadly shrine in Igboukwu for justice to prevail on their sister’s death.
