Tributes have been paid to a ‘loving and caring’ soldier who was found dead at a military base at the age of 19.
Jaysley-Louise Beck, from Harrogate, Yorkshire, was just over a year into her posting as a gunner at Larkhill, Wiltshire when she passed away from unknown causes on December 15.
Another soldier, Michael Miah, a 28-year-old Lance Corporal of Horse, was found dead at nearby Bulford base on the same day.
The Army has launched an investigation into both deaths while preparations are underway for an inquest.
Jaysley-Louise hompleted her initial training at Harrogate’s Army Foundation College in 2020.
Her family, who run a hotel in Cumbria, said in a statement sent to YorkshireLive: ‘Jaysley is a loving and caring person who would go above and beyond to help anyone in a less fortunate position than herself.
‘If there is ever a person who needs help, you could always count on Jaze to be there.
‘Her compassion for others and her ability to light up the room putting a smile on anybody’s face is immeasurable.’
