Colombian Judge, 34, suspended over smoking semi-naked and slurring words in bed during zoom trial

A judge seen in bed during a Zoom hearing semi-naked, smoking and allegedly slurring words has been suspended.

Colombian Vivian Polania, 34, quickly switched off her laptop’s camera after she was alerted she could be seen in her underwear.

But the 33-second video – taken during a trial to decide if a car bomb terror suspect should be bailed – went viral. A solicitor complained and yesterday she was barred until February. Judge Polania caused a storm two years ago when she posted photos showing off her muscles, honed during gym sessions.

Other images in a tiny G-string showed off tattoos on her back and bottom. At the time, she said she was proud to be ‘braless and open-minded’, adding: ‘Not all judges, lawyers and state employees are the same.

‘What I wear or show on social media is my decision and I’m not going to change a thing.’ Hector Paredes Robles was caught having sex on Zoom last yearColombia’s National Commission of Judicial Ethics criticised her ‘contempt for the investiture of her position’.

It added: ‘We find no justification for the judge to have presented herself in such deplorable conditions.

‘She had the facilities of her own home to prepare for a public hearing appropriately and with the respect it deserved.’

Last January, lawyer Hector Paredes Robles was caught having sex with a naked woman – believed to be his client – when he left his camera on using Zoom during a court hearing in Peru.
