Chilling moment inmate launches knife attack on prison officer after stalking him across jail (video

THIS is the shocking moment an inmate lunged at a prison officer with a knife after stalking him across the jail to settle a "grudge".

Kevin Jones, 41, has been convicted of attempted murder after he violently attacked a guard at HMP Bullingdon near Bicester.

Dramatic CCTV footage showed Jones following the officer around until they both arrived on the same landing at the same time, outside the wing office.

Jones can be seen looking around cautiously while one hand is buried in his jacket pocket.

He lingered on the landing for a few seconds before the victim walked past him with another officer.

Jones is then seen in the clip pulling a sharpened plastic knife out of his pocket.

He then terrifyingly lunged towards the guard and swung the weapon at him, attempting to make contact with the victim's neck.

The officer was alert to the danger and narrowly managed to avoid the violent attack.

Jones was then pinned to the ground by other officers and moved to segregation.

A court heard that at around 10.10am on 17 July 2021, the victim, who was then aged 28, was escorting another prisoner to his cell on the Blackthorn Unit.
