Alexandra Burke gives birth to first child with boyfriend Darren Randolph as she shares cute pic

ALEXANDRA Burke has given birth to her first child.

The X Factor star, 33, and her boyfriend, West Ham’s Darren Randolph, shared their amazing news today, alongside a picture of their son’s feet.

She told her followers: “Welcome to the world our little grape 🥰 We already love you more than words can say 🍇🌎🤍.”

Alexandra met and fell for Darren in May of last year and announced in February that they were expecting.

The West End star, who has had leading roles in Chicago and The Bodyguard since winning The X Factor in 2008, recently revealed she is planning to take minimal maternity leave before rejoining the touring production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat on September 12.

Rather than put her feet up, Alexandra had until recently continued to perform eight shows a week as the stage production’s narrator.

She said: “I will be back for Joseph in the middle of September in Milton Keynes. It’s so close.

Advertisement “I know two months may not seem like a lot of maternity leave but I think it’s right for me.

“Baby will always come first but I feel anything is possible with planning.

“I love what I do, I love singing. I’m confident I can make it all work. I know people who take a whole year off and that’s brilliant, but we are all different and that isn’t what I want to do."

The singer, who came runner-up on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 with pro dancer Gorka Márquez, threw a lavish baby shower at the end of May attended by friends, family and boyfriend Darren.

As well as reprising her role alongside Jason Donovan in Joseph in September, before joining Julian Clary and Dawn French in Jack And The Beanstalk at the London Palladium in November, Alexandra has more projects in the pipeline.

She became a household name after her X Factor winner’s single, a cover of Jeff Buckley’s 1994 song Hallelujah, broke the European record for the most singles sold in 24 hours.

It was 2008’s Christmas No1 and, when Alexandra released her debut album Overcome the next year, she topped the charts again.

The record has since sold over 1million copies and will be released on vinyl for the first time later this year.

Her hits Bad Boys and Start Without You also reached the top spot.
