Rocky Marciano Price has been identified as the teenage boy who murdered Lindsay Birbeck

The teenage boy who brutally murdered mother-of-two Lindsay Birbeck before hiding her body in a bin and burying it in a cemetery has been named as Rocky Marciano Price.

The killer’s identity was revealed after reporting restrictions were lifted at Preston Crown Court.

Ms Birbeck’s naked body was found wrapped up in two plastic bags in a shallow grave at the back of Accrington Cemetery on August 24 last year.

Price pleaded guilty to assisting in the disposal of her body but claimed he played no role in her death.

He said he was offered ‘a lot of money’ by an unknown man to ‘get rid of the body’, but this was not accepted by the Crown.
