Pregnant Gigi Hadid shows off her baby bump for the first time on Instagram Live
Pregnant Gigi Hadid went live on Instagram Wednesday and addressed the rumors that she’s been hiding her baby bump.
“There’s my belly y’all,” she said, turning sideways and showing her stomach. “Like it’s there, it’s just from the front it’s different.”
Hadid explained why she has been quiet on social media herself, stating that it’s “not the most important thing going on in the world.”
“That’s a reason that I felt that it’s not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends.
Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to [the] coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening,” Hadid said.
“And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM [Black Lives Matter] movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”
“I just am not rushed (to share),” she added, continuing, “I just don’t want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and like worry about having to like look cute or post something.”
The 25-year-old model and her baby’s father, Zayn Malik, 27, have been spending time together isolating on a farm in rural Pennsylvania amid the COVID-19 outbreak, which the singer reportedly bought on the advice of Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda. The couple are expecting a baby girl, due in September.
