Winnie Harlow slammed for "Complaining" about having to slum it on economy flight

Winnie Harlow has been slammed after she complained about having to give up her business class flight seats to slum it in economy, and there hasn’t exactly been a wave of sympathy for her.

Winnie appeared on the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week, but had to fly somewhere else for a photo shoot. Unfortunately, her flight was cancelled – in order to get to the shoot on time, she had to settle for economy seats.

The 25-year-old model wrote: ‘I haven’t slept in 4 days, and my flight got cancelled. The amazing airport escort got my team and I put on the fastest flight out but we had to give up our business class seats in order to land in time for a huge shoot at 6am. Winnie had to fly economy (Picture: Instagram) ‘I realise this may not seem like a big deal to some, but when a plane is your bedroom and a flight the only time to get sleep during a hectic fashion month, it’s tiresome. Regardless I’m grateful, god works in mysterious ways and everything happens for a reason. ‘It’s not everyday glamour, you have to do what you have to do to be successful in life 🙏🏽❤️ to reach your goals the grind never stops! (Ty @hbjbofficial for being my pillow).’

Winnie accompanied her post with a photo of herself dressed in a Prada jumpsuit, while ‘sleeping’ on her hairdresser Jordan Jay Brumant.

Winnie's post didn't go down well with many on social media, with followers calling the her out in the comments section.

One person wrote: People ride in those seats everyday so this really isn’t a big deal but ok’, while another follower said: ‘Oh wow.. you poor thing.. did you buy that extra seat so you could put your feet up and not have to sit next to us regulars? Also, very important you wear a Prada tracksuit to show people you don’t REALLY belong there… unreal.’

And another fan wrote: ‘Ohhh I feel so bad for u. U needed to give up your business class tix. That must be soooo hard. Is that the only problem you have in your life ??? Seriously.’

My view: I think some people should be grateful for what they have, as there are millions of people around the world that have nothing and are jobless, they wouldn't mind trading places with Winnie. If you don't want to be criticized, then don't make controversial comments or post pictures of every aspect of your life on social media. I wonder if Winnie used Business class before she became a top model and thanks to Tyra Banks for giving her the platform on her America's Next Top Model show. The Prada jumpsuit looked good on her.
