Tunisia 0-1 Nigeria: Super Eagles extend record at Africa Cup of Nations third-place play-off
Odion Ighalo scored the only goal in the third minute as Nigeria beat Tunisia in the third-place play-off to win Bronze in the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 edition. Nigeria remain the country with the most third-place wins.
Ighalo, the tournament's top scorer with five goals, netted the only goal after keeper Moez Ben Cherifia deflected the ball off defender Yassine Meriah his own teammate.

Three-time champions Nigeria had already won bronze seven times before, three more than Ivory Coast in second place with four.
Nigeria – 8 times
Ivory Coast – 4 times
Egypt – 3 times
Zambia – 3 times
DR Congo – 2 times
Algeria – 2 times
Mali – 2 times
Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Tunisia, Sudan, Morocco, Ethiopia, South Africa have all won it once.
My view: Terrible defending from the Tunisians. The ball movement by the SuperEagles was beautiful to set up Ighalo for Nigeria's first goal.
