Meghan and baby Archie join Kate and her three children for rare joint appearance to watch Harry and

Two-month-old Archie Mountbatten-Windsor attended his first public event today as he joined his parents at a charity polo match.

New mother Meghan, 37, cradled her newborn son and planted a tender kiss on his head as they joined the Duchess of Cambridge and her three children at Billingbear Polo Club in Wokingham, Surrey, this afternoon.

The Duchesses put in a surprise appearance to watch Prince William and Prince Harry go head-to-head in the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day, held in honour of late Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Kate, 37, looked elegant in a flowing pink L.K.Bennett dress, teamed with her trusty Castaner wedges and a red Mulberry bag, as she kept an eye on her excited little ones.

Meanwhile the Duchess of Sussex dressed down for the outing in a £545 khaki green maxi dress by Lisa Marie Fernandez and a pair of gold aviator sunglasses by favourite designer Givenchy.

It is the first time the Sussexes and the Cambridges have been seen together as families since Archie's birth.

It also marks a rare joint appearance for Meghan and Kate, who are typically only seen together at official engagements attended by the entire royal family, such as Trooping the Colour.

Kate's Dress is from British fashion brand L.K. Bennett for £350

My view: It is good to see Kate and Meghan Markle watch their husbands play polo together, I hope they continue to show united front.
