Prime Minister Theresa May announces she will resign on June 7

Theresa May has announced that she will stand down as Conservative leader on June 7.

Mrs May, in an emotional short speech announced that she will leave office on 7 June.

The prime minister made the announcement during a statement outside Downing Street.

It came after members of her Cabinet revolt over her Brexit plan.

It paves the way for a contest to decide the new Prime Minister.

My view: She left it too late, she should have resigned a long time ago and allow the Tories to continue to destroy themselves over Brexit. Clearly Brexit fight will not end with Theresa May's resignation, the Conservatives are known for their self-destructive behaviors, so whoever is the next prime minister should be ready to face the same problem, as you can never satisfy everyone.
