Frank Lampard mocks Leeds fans with their own chant after Derby win to set up Championship play-off

Frank Lampard gave Leeds supporters a taste of their own medicine after Derby’s stunning win at Elland Road to reach the Championship play-off final.

Substitute Jack Marriot was Derby’s superman after scoring two goals in Wednesday night’s second leg with Chelsea and Liverpool loanees Mason Mount and Harry Wilson also netting in a 4-2 (4-3 agg) victory for Lampard’s side.

Leeds appeared to be on their way to the playoff-final as they went 2-0 up on aggregate with Stuart Dallas scoring midway through the first half but a thrilling fightback from Derby set up a clash with Aston Villa for a place in the Premier League.

My view: Frank Lampard was a talented player, his work ethic and desire to win far exceeded his talent and that is why he was very successful as a player during his time at Chelsea. But his team needs to beat Aston Villa, who are on fire right now.
