Kanye West Brings Sunday Service to Coachella and Is Joined by Family and friends

Rapper Kanye West made his Easter Sunday Service at Coachella a family affair.

The father of three brought his now-famous gospel band and spiritual Sunday Service to a hill at the 2019 festival, hours after joining Kid Cudi onstage to perform a few songs from their Kids See Ghosts album as well as Kanye's 2016 song "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," which features Cudi.

Kanye and Cudi reunited at Kanye's Sunday Service, which also featured Chance the rapper.

Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian West and daughter North West also attended alongside her family and friends.

The service was live-streamed on Coachella's YouTube page at 9 a.m. PT.

Over the past few months, Kanye West has led his Sunday Services in the hills of Calabasas accompanied by a gospel choir and many musicians. Last month, the rapper announced that he would bring his musical band and Sunday Service to Coachella.

Kanye and Kim's daughter, North West often steals the show by dancing and appearing on stage with a mic alongside her friends. She was seen dancing on a grassy hill at Sunday's event.

She and Kim wore matching white outfits. The reality star posted on her Instagram Story videos of the two traveling in a car. She asked her daughter if she was excited to perform at her father's Sunday Service. The little girl got shy and said, "No, Daddy is."

Prior to Saturday night, Kanye has performed at Coachella three times, once as a headliner in 2011, and also took the stage in 2006 and 2016.

My view: Kanye West's Coachella Easter service was fun to watch on TV. It seems some people that attended the service were not happy with his expensive merchandise. Maybe because Kanye doesn't ask for tithes from his church members, that's why they are expensive. Who spends that much for one printed shirt/tracksuit or a pair of socks?- merchandise costing up to $225, when you can get something at a reasonable price from Adidas or Nike.
