Footage filmed by an onlooker shows the pair who were not wearing any clothes tied to a tree side by side by ropes.
Dozens of passersby are seen gathering around the couple and police officers on site to control the crowd.
The video became viral after being uploaded onto the Chinese social media platform WeChat.

Police said they had to send officers to the scene at around 5pm that day to rescue the woman bound to the tree.
Officers untied her, covered her with clothes before taking all relevant persons to the police station, police claimed.
A statement from the Huishui County Public Security Bureau said that the event was caused by the 'excessive reaction' from the man's wife after the couple had 'emotional disputes'.
The police did not explain the relation between the man and the woman who had been punished with him.
