R. Kelly sings ‘Happy Birthday’ to estranged daughter who called him a 'Monster'
The R&B singer posted a video of himself on Instagram singing "Happy Birthday" to his daughter Joann Lee Kelly, aka Buku Abi and captioned it, "Family for life."
R. Kelly broke his social media silence on Wednesday for the first time in months by singing a "Happy Birthday" to his 22-year-old oldest daughter Joann who branded him a "monster."
R. Kelly ended the 28 second clip by blowing a kiss at the camera and says, "Happy birthday, baby. Daddy love you. I love you. No matter what, I love you so much" and adds, "Bye. Happy birthday."

R Kelly has been plagued with numerous allegations of sexual abuse since the '90s, often with underage girls.
The 52-year-old singer was indicted In 2002, on 13 counts of child pornography but was acquitted of all charges. However in January this year a docuseries on R Kelly was released, "Surviving R. Kelly," which detailed allegations of sexual abuse by multiple women who claim to have been R Kelly's victims.
R Kelly's daughter Joann, broke her silence following the docuseries and says she "does not have a relationship" with her father. The 22-year-old condemned her father on Instagram and suggested that she and her family had also allegedly been abused by R Kelly. Her mother Andrea Kelly and R. Kelly's ex-wife was one of the accusers who appeared in "Surviving R. Kelly."
My view: Good that R Kelly is trying to reach his daughter, I think his ex wife should stop pretending like she doesn't know much about the stuff that happened during her time with R Kelly and it's baffling that Andrea Kelly that called her ex husband a "monster" still loves his last name, who does that?, why not drop his last name.?
