Meghan Markle’s friendship with superstar Priyanka Chopra is on the rocks says Insider
Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle's friendship has hit a rough patch, according to an insider.
The Duchess of Sussex and Priyanka were pals and the actress was a guest at Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.
But Meghan declined to attend her friend Priyanka's wedding to Nick Jonas in December 2018.
According to one Page Six source “Priyanka was crushed.”
That is why Page Six sources say, the Bollywood star, “Quantico,” declined to attend Markle’s baby shower last week at the Mark Hotel. Tennis star Serena Williams and Amal Clooney co-hosted the shower, with guests such as Gayle King and Meghan stylist Jessica Mulroney.
According to reports, Chopra was “bogged down” in Los Angeles with meetings about a book she is writing, but sources believe the real reason is that her BFF Meghan Markle hurt her feelings by not attending her wedding.
(A source told Us Weekly that Markle didn’t attend Chopra’s wedding because of her pregnancy.)
“Their friendship is over unless Meghan apologizes,” said one source. “Priyanka is a huge international star with a tremendous social media following. She is probably more famous worldwide than Meghan is. She feels Meghan didn’t respect her, and didn’t respect their friendship.”
According to Page Six, A spokesperson for Chopra declined to comment, but a source close to the actress told the publication that, “There are no issues between the two women. They are friends, and anything you’re being told otherwise is inaccurate and untrue.”
Chopra and her husband Jonas seemed to be friendlier in July when they visited Meghan and Harry at their Cotswolds country home.
In an interview in 2018 with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Chopra said: “She’s an icon, truly, that girls can look up to, that women can look up to. She’s normal, she’s sweet, she’s nice.”

My view: I am not surprised, that their friendship is on the rocks, if the story is true. Meghan Markle refused to attend Priyanka's wedding because of her pregnancy and her new Duchess' status, as she thinks her friend Priyanka is beneath her. Meghan is condescending, she isn't a good friend, I don't get how pregnant Meghan was able to jump on a private jet for her extravagant public baby shower in New York, travel to Australia and Morocco on royal tour, but deliberately did not attend her friend Priyanka's big day in India, treating her BFF like a second class /B-list celeb, when Priyanka is known all over the world before former D-list Meghan surfaced on the international stage. I hope they make up, but Priyanka doesn't need Meghan Markle to be famous, as she's a superstar herself. If your so called friend can't stand by you or support you at your hour of need, then she's not a friend, she probably wants you to be at her beck and call as an errand girl, just ask Jordyn Woods how she was thrown out by her so called friend Kylie Jenner. It's really pathetic and painful to watch a star like Serena Williams publicly grovelling to Meghan Markle when she also refused to attend her wedding after giving silly excuses and then few weeks later Meg was seen attending a wedding in London. Meghan's childhood friend Ninaki Priddy, who revealed stories about the real Meghan Markle described how fame changed her. Ninaki was her made of honour at her first wedding, then when Meghan got her acting job in Suits, she started treating her best friend like a nobody and her ex husband like crap. According to reports many of her poor friends who celebrated her first wedding with her on the beach are no longer speaking to Meghan. I don't think Meg is getting good advice from her new friend and so called stylist Jessica Mulroney, why she even think that the Dior dress is good enough for £90k is beyond me. It seems they're both out to destroy the royal family.
