President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, January 30, received the former national financial secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bolaji Anani, and his supporters into the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The president received the defectors at the All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Rally inside the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar, NAN reports.

Legit.ng reports that Buhari said his administration would continue to fight corruption and improve the country’s economy. He also promised to support farmers across the country with soft loans to help them improve their produce. “I want to assure you that after I have been sworn in, I will visit Cross River again to interact with the people," he said.

Legit.ng previously reported that about 2,509 members of the PDP on Monday, January 28, defected to the APC in Sandamu local government area of Katsina state. Governor Aminu Masari received the defectors in Sandamu during his electioneering campaign in the area.

He said his administration would soon embark on general renovation of Sandamu general hospital and construct township roads across eleven electoral wards in the area.

My view: Both birds of the same feather, they run from one ruling party to another just to loot and ignore millions of their fellow citizens suffering in silence and voiceless. Bunch of evil politicians PDP and APC, Atiku and president Buhari why can't you promise jobless Nigerians with no hope of getting a job, that you'll put in place Income/Housing Support to help them. Stop lying and do the right thing, as you all know Nigerian working politicians have 5-square meals a day, earn millions monthly while millions of Nigerians have absolutely nothing and starving. Use your vote wisely not for old wicked politicians in new robe, they couldn't careless about you. Atiku did nothing when he was Obasanjo's vice president. All you have to do is to challenge Atiku to promise he'll give job-seekers allowance on his first day in office. On Tuesday, Buhari announced to the world that he "commissioned the Ariaria Market Independent Power Project", oh well, what about Patani a Local Government Area of Delta State, the people there are suffering, they have no electricity and you have been in office for four years, what a shame.?
