The police were called to the property in Orange, New South Wales after reports of an armed man standing on the roof of a building.
A dramatic vision of the scene shows the shirtless man, with blood dripping from his leg, waving two kitchen knives at the officers below.

The police could only confirm that officers responded to an incident in Dalton Street.
