Blac Chyna called out for promoting $250 (£195) skin-lightening cream
Blac Chyna has come under fire for announcing she is launching a skin lightening cream, with beauty brand, Whitenicious.
The reality star already has her own makeup brand: Lashed Cosmetics, but fans were shocked when she announced her new product on Instagram and said she would be travelling to Nigeria to promote her new 'Diamond Illuminating & Lightening Cream'.
In a post on her Instagram, the mother-of-two wrote: Lagos Nigeria, join me at the first official launch of my face cream, this Sunday November 25th, at the Whitenicious store from 1-5pm. Everyone is invited"
The $250 (£194) cream which costs comes in a "handcrafted" Swarovski crystal jar, promises to hydrate, restore and lighten skin tone "without bleaching it out". Over time users are expected to notice a "marked reduction" in age spots and a lightened appearance.
Blac Chyna disabled her Instagram comments on the controversial post, but that hasn't stopped people commenting on her other pictures.
My view: I wonder how many of Blac Chyna's fans can afford the $250 (£195) bleaching cream. UN has declared Nigeria to be the poverty capital of the world, with the highest number of poor people in the world.
