'Why I want everyone to see my dead pregnant wife and baby daughter lying in their coffin'

A grieving husband has shared heartbreaking pictures of his dead wife in her coffin holding their lifeless baby daughter she was weeks away from giving birth to.
Zach Kincaid wants people to see the devastation his family has endured after Krystil, 29, and their unborn child were killed in a head-on collision involving a champion boxer accused of drink-driving.
The photos are being shared around the world and show Krystil, who was eight months pregnant, in her coffin with her dead daughter on her chest wearing a red tutu dress and wrapped in a white blanket.
Accompanying the pictures with a heartrending message, Zach wrote: "Look at the devastation left behind that is my family and tell me it isn't time for change. Imagine if this was your family..."

One of their young sons can be seen peering into and hugging the coffin before watching his father close the lid.
While other pictures show Zach cradling his daughter, who they were going to name Avalynn Onix, at the joint funeral. Her siblings also took it in turns to hold her one last time.
Devoted mother Krystil leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter, two sons aged eight and four and a 14-year-old stepdaughter.

She had been talking to Zach on speakerphone as she was driving before the horror smash in California on September 9.
The last thing he heard from her was her piercing scream and he could only listen helplessly as firefighters pulled her from the mangled car which had burst into flames.
Zach says he is now haunted by this final phone call which will never be etched from his memory.
Krystil was driving a Chrysler minivan when a BMW driven by Marcos Forestal — the reigning World Boxing Federation International Super Bantamweight champ — veered into her lane and struck her vehicle, police said.

The 28-year-old suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
After Krystil died the arrest charge was upgraded to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
The since-deleted video was recorded by some social media users and shared online.
In the video, Forestal shows viewers his smashed car while saying, “Look what happened to me, guys.”

Krystil was airlifted to hospital but there was nothing that could be done to save her or her baby. She was kept on life support so that family members could say their final goodbyes.
Tragically, her other children thought they were going to hospital to meet their new baby sister - instead they were told they no longer had a mum or a new silbling.
Zach wrote on Facebook hours after Krystil's death: "My life has been full of adversity, but today I experienced the hardest thing I have ever done.
"I told my 2 daughters and my 2 sons that a drunk driver killed their mom. The pain and anger I feel within my soul is immeasurable, my heart is broken."

He later added: "It's killing me inside. The only good that is coming from this is there is a person getting new lungs, a person getting a liver, a person getting a kidney and heart, and another getting a kidney."
At a recent court appearance Forestal pleaded not guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He is due back in court on November 1.
Meanwhile, Zach has started a petition to have baby Avalynn's death added to Forestal's charge.
He said: "My daughter’s due date was October 9th, a 36-week-old fully developed baby isn’t considered a person in the state of California. How do I explain to my children this injustice? My children and I have never felt so disposable…

"Since Avalynn was killed prior to being born she is not considered a victim of this accident.
"So now the drunk driver, whose name I am choosing not to mention because he does not deserve to be known, will only face 10 years MAXIMUM for killing Krystil and her daughter Avalynn.
"A 29-year-old woman will miss the rest of her life and the lives of her 2 sons, her daughter, and step daughter and Avalynn will miss any opportunity at life.
"10 years would not be enough to bring justice to this family when the man walked away from this crash uninjured, he posted video on Facebook live after the accident where he blamed Krystil, and never once did he go to check on her or see if he could help her."

The petition has received more than 77,000 signatures so far, while a GoFundMe page for the family has raised $50,000.
Zach paid tribute to Krystil and said: "12 years ago Krystil Kincaid and I said 'I do, until death do us part.'
"She was the best thing that ever happened to me. The way she looked at me when she was making her promise to me still makes my heart melt.
"12 years ago was the best day of my life. Today Krystil's and Avalynn's ashes came home."

My view: Heartbreaking pictures, so sad, double tragedy.
