Kavanaugh pens whining op-ed insisting America ignore those things he said

After a botched Senate performance that had Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh yelling about beer, insulting senators, and claiming that the multiple sexual assault allegations against him were part of a decades-old conspiracy seeking revenge on behalf of Bill and Hillary Clinton, the most entitled man in America gets yet another do-over in the editorial section of the Wall Street Journal. And his buddies even removed the pay wall so that 'Merica can see how sincere he is!
Short version: The Abuser's Remorse. I'm very sorry I hurt you but it was because you made me do it with those things you said.
At times, my testimony—both in my opening statement and in response to questions—reflected my overwhelming frustration at being wrongly accused, without corroboration, of horrible conduct completely contrary to my record and character. My statement and answers also reflected my deep distress at the unfairness of how this allegation has been handled.
I was very emotional last Thursday, more so than I have ever been. I might have been too emotional at times. I know that my tone was sharp, and I said a few things I should not have said. I hope everyone can understand that I was there as a son, husband and dad. I testified with five people foremost in my mind: my mom, my dad, my wife, and most of all my daughters.

The rest of Brett's op-ed is an insistence that he will always be an "even-keeled", impartial judge so pay no attention to that stuff he said on national television with the whole country watching. Because he says so, that's why. That's it.
Again and again, this guy goes for the do-over. Assault allegations surface against him, so he takes to the nonpartisan judgely airwaves of Fox News to explain himself. He botches a public hearing by shouting a conspiracy theory–but he has allies who own the Wall Street Journal editorial page and can hand column-space to him to explain why it doesn't matter. He gets everything handed to him on a silver platter, all the time, forever.
He doesn't show the slightest bit of remorse for his conspiracy theories or his partisan yelling. There’s no apology–to anyone. He just insists it shouldn't count against him because hell, he knows the guys who run the Wall Street Journal.
In the meantime, the Washington Post is urging the Senate to reject Kavanaugh–the first time they have opposed a Supreme Court nominee since 1987 and Robert Bork. Kavanaugh, they say, "has given the Senate "ample evidence to believe he is unsuited for the job. The country deserves better."
