Man, 33, ‘tightened a rope around 22-year-old pregnant woman’s neck while his girlfriend sliced open
A man allegedly tightened a rope around a pregnant woman's neck while his girlfriend sliced her stomach open and ripped out her baby, a court heard.
33-year-old William Hoehn, from North Dakota, who has been charged with the conspiracy to commit murder, revealed that he tightened the rope around 8-month pregnant Savanna Greywind, 22, while his girlfriend Brooke Crews sliced her stomach open and ripped the baby out of her womb.
Savanna was eight months pregnant when her body was found wrapped in plastic and dumped in the Red River near North Dakota last August. Hoehn's girlfriend Crews confessed and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and murder and even lying to the law officers last December. She was then sentenced to life in prison without parole in February.

On Wednesday during Hoehn's trial, the prosecutors even mentioned that Crew's could not have restrained Savanna on her own. Hoehn initially told the cops that when he had come home, he witnessed Crews cleaning up the blood from the floor in their bathroom. According to DailyMail, he said Crews presented him with an infant girl and said: "This is our baby. This is our family." He even pleaded guilty saying that he was unaware that Crews had planned to kill Savanna.
He then admitted to taking the garbage bags containing bloody shoes, bloody towels and disposed of them far away from their apartment complex. But, Prosecutor Ryan Younggren said Crews couldn't have killed savanna without help from Hoehn. And when he had entered the bathroom and Crews told him that she was not sure if Savanna was dead, he took a rope and tightened it around her neck choking her, and then telling, "If she's not dead, she is now." reported Daily Mail.
Crews and Savanna had been friends, and before she could go missing, she texted her mom saying she is going to Crews' apartment. After she went missing, the cops raided the apartment for six days and never found any traces of blood. Crews initially told the cops that Savanna had given her the baby, but later admitted that she got into a tiff with Savanna and pushed her down the stairs and knocked her out before cutting her open.

Savanna was pregnant with boyfriend Ashton Matheny's daughter when she was killed. The baby who was taken out of Savanna has been reunited with Ashton. He now has full custody of her and has named the baby Haisley Jo. A GoFund me page has been set up to help Ashton raise his daughter. A judge even revealed that Hoehn's trial could last up to two weeks.
