Culled from Metro
A defenceless mother-of-three repeatedly punched in the head by a stranger was lucky not to break her jaw, her family said.
Gemma Cooper, 30, was grabbed by the throat and punched three times in front of her teenage son in her garden in Leicester.
CCTV posted online shows Ms Cooper desperately try to defend herself as a man rains down a series of vicious blows near children’s play equipment.
The ‘terrifying’ attack was posted online by her mother’s partner Jimmy Wells who urged viewers to share and shamed the ‘woman beating c***’ responsible.
He shared it online with the caption: ‘The girl in this video is my mrs (sic) daughter.
‘Feel more than free to share as people to know what this little woman beating c is all about cheers.’
Ms Cooper, a single mother-of-three, is now recovering in hospital and has promised to press charges.

Her attacker is said to have turned up at her home with two friends and demanded to see her, but Ms Cooper reportedly does not know the attacker ‘just by sight and name’.
Grandmother Moira Such, 73, told MailOnline: ‘It was an appalling attack on an innocent young mother in front of her children.
‘The attacker repeatedly punched my grand daughter in the face at least five times and when she was trying to back away he grabbed her by the throat.
It’s lucky she didn’t have a broken jaw.’ Ms Such revealed that Ms Cooper’s oldest son, 13, was ‘hysterical’ as he alerted his grandmother to the attack.
‘It was an appalling, vicious attack and Gemma who is a single mum and lives alone had to stay with me the next night because she was too frightened to go home,’ she added.
Ms Copper had recently installed CCTV after a spate of thefts at her home.
Leicestershire Police told Metro.co.uk: ‘We are investigating an assault which has been reported to have happened in the New Parks area.
‘A woman in her 30s was assaulted by a man outside an address around 7am on Saturday morning.
‘The woman sustained bruising and swelling to her head.
‘As part of ongoing inquiries, a 23-year-old Leicester man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
‘Inquiries are ongoing into the incident and officers are aware of CCTV footage captured of the assault being circulated on social media.’
