9:15 PM PT -- People connected to Cardi told TMZ, when Cardi approached the table she was not looking for a fight ... they say she wanted "to address the lies Nicki was spreading." They believe security had a plan if Cardi came anywhere near, and one of them elbowed her in her face (check out the lump). They say at that point it was on.Cardi B showed off her shoes Friday night at a New York Fashion Week party ... by throwing one of them at Nicki Minaj ... TMZ reported..
Cardi and Nicki both showed up at the Harper's Bazaar's bash. Nicki was with her crew at a table, when Cardi "aggressively approached the table" ... this according to eyewitnesses.
According to eyewitnesses Cardi said, "Let me tell you something" ... as she lunged toward Nicki, but security stopped her inches from contact.
But, Cardi wasn't done ... she pulled off her shoe and threw it at her enemy ... missing her target.

As for Nicki ... she was reportedly cool as a cucumber. She didn't even flinch.
Cardi was escorted out by security, and she left the building with one shoe on her foot.

My view: There's no such thing as bad publicity, all press is good press. We want to see Cardi B and Nicki Minaj in a boxing ring, so they can settle their differences. And I don't get why people are slamming Cardi B, as Ghetto queen for fighting at a so called posh event, when the US president is a THUG who "grabs women by their p***y", insults people, he encouraged his supporters to punch opponents during 2016 presidential campaign, scammed students of their hard earned money through his defunct Trump fake University, corruptly paid off stripper Stormi Daniels and he's accused of being deranged and dangerous by the anonymous op-ed writer. Last night fight will not affect Cardi B's career, as Trump is a good example. Cardi B should stop responding to Nicki Minaj because the 35 year old woman's career is finished, as she couldn't even beat Travis Scott that his music is rubbish, if not for his girlfriend Kylie and their daughter Stormi that saved him, he wouldn't have been number one. This is Cardi's time, learn how to be graceful like beautiful Beyonce. You need a good PR manager and also you need to go for an etiquette class. Your fans are still waiting to see the full image of your baby, you're fighting Nicki about a baby no one has seen the picture. People say Nicki Minaj wasn't bothered, well she was surrounded by security and she looked scared. It seems everyone has forgotten about Nicki and Maria Carey's feud during American Idol. I don't get why Nicki hates other celebs, especially those doing better than her. If posting disgusting, naked and trashy pictures on Instagram by celebs invited by NYFW is classy then Cardi B is classy for behaving wild at the show.
