Poor Widow In Tears After Receiving Millions Of Naira (Photos)

A homeless widow couldn’t contain her emotions after she was blessed by Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha during the 2018 Imo Women August Meeting which held on August 7th (yesterday) at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, the state capital, Naija Loaded reported.

The poor woman who came with her children for the event which was graced by the wife of the acting president Dolapo Osinbajo, Imo First Lady Nneoma Okorocha and others – had no clue about how her life would change on the fateful day.

The governor singled out the woman and her children at the event and called them out as he gave her millions of Naira in cash, a house gift, automatic employment in the Ohaji/Egbema local government area and other goodies.

My view: The money belonged to the millions of jobless people who are being shortchanged by heartless Nigerian politicians. Why not give monthly Income Support to all the jobless people who are suffering with their children, past and present working politicians have looted and still looting the country dry. So please the Governor should not pretend for a minute that the millions he gave to that woman is his money. Nigerian politicians don't go into politics to serve. It is clearly an avenue to LOOT. If not how can anyone justify a politician selling his properties and businesses to contest for the Nigerian Senate or any public office money making machine. The Imo state Governor should do the right thing and give every jobless person in his state a monthly job-seekers allowance and Housing Support and stop showboating to the public for political gains.
