‘My 600-lb Life’ star found dead at 30

A man who recently documented his weight loss journey on “My 600-lb Life” was found dead on Thursday night.

Page Six reported that, James “L.B.” Bonner was found in a ditch with a gunshot wound in Lexington, S.C., according to a police report obtained by Page Six. He was 30 years old.

Police found Bonner during a welfare check and EMS was also called to the scene, according to the report.

“As we await information from the coroner’s report on Mr. Bonner’s death, we are not seeking any persons of interest or suspects as part of our continuing work on the case,” the Lexington’s Public Information Officer told us.

Bonner, who was also an amputee due to an ATV accident, struggled with weight and alcohol use through his life and went on the TLC show to get his health in order, according to a local news report. He underwent gastric bypass surgery while filming the show. He appeared on the series earlier this year.

Earlier in the day on Thursday, Bonner had taken to Facebook thanking “everyone who has shown me love and support throughout my journey.”

“I’ve realized a few things over the last few days and its time that, I face my demons head on.. No matter what you change or the efforts you put forth in life, sometimes you just have to take it on the chin and deal with things your own way…Again, thank y’all so much…”

“Please don’t ever let people you care about not know how you feel….” he concluded.
