Reconciliation between Meghan Markle and her father will never happen, reveals friend who says probl

Culled from Daily Mail

The Duchess of Sussex, who celebrates her 37th birthday on Saturday, is said to have been left 'amazed' by his most recent antics – which include telling the Mail on Sunday that she would be better off 'if I was dead'.

He went on to say that Princess Diana would have 'loathed' the way he is being treated and admitted to taking drugs 20 years ago but said: 'I don't care if Harry never speaks to me again, I'll survive', Daily Mail reported.

Despite his harsh words for the prince, 33, Markle Sr. said he would be left 'heartbroken' if youngest daughter Meghan never spoke to him again.

Now a source close to the former Suits actress has told that a reconciliation is unlikely to happen any time soon and said the pair have had problems for years.

'A reconciliation is completely off the table at the moment,' the close friend said. 'There's no chance right now - he's been a complete embarrassment.

'They've had problems for some time – from before she met Prince Harry.'

The source added: 'She's amazed by what's happened but is taking what he says with a grain of salt.

'The Royal Family isn't as upset as you'd think either. Nothing any of them [the Markle family] say has any real consequence and they [Meghan and Harry] have more important things to focus on.' has approached Kensington Palace for comment.

In his most recent interview, Markle Sr also complained of being 'cut off' by his daughter and admitted that they haven't spoken for 10 weeks.

He said he wanted to send Meghan a card for her birthday on Saturday but claimed that 'it'll just be on among thousands' and she may 'never see it'.

The former lighting director added: 'I thought about sending it by Priority Mail Express, but the Palace would probably just soak it in water for three days to make sure it doesn't explode.'

Meghan is set to spend her first birthday as a member of the Royal Family at the wedding of one of Harry's closest friends, Charlie Van Straubenzee.

Van Straubenzee, 37, who will wed film maker Daisy Jenks in Surrey, England, on Saturday, has been pals with the prince since they attended prep school in Berkshire together and took on the role of usher at Harry and Meghan's wedding in May.

One man who didn't make it was Markle Sr who pulled out days before the wedding claiming to have suffered a heart attack.

The bout of ill-health was announced the day after he was revealed to be colluding with LA-based paparazzo Jeff Rayner to stage fake candid pictures – including ones that showed him running near his home, being measured for a suit and looking up pictures of Meghan and Harry in an internet café near his home in Rosarito, Mexico.

He was also pictured inside a nearby Starbucks leafing through a book of British landmarks.

Embarrassingly, the revelation came after Kensington Palace had spent weeks pleading for privacy on his behalf – including a message demanding he be left alone sent hours before the story was published.

Instead of being at St. George's Chapel in Windsor on the big day, the 74-year-old watched the nuptials from a $31-a-night AirBNB in Baja Malibu – a scruffy residential compound close to his home in San Antonio del Mar.

He returned home on the Monday after the wedding and was pictured purchasing a creamy drink from Starbucks en route.

Since then, the retired Emmy winner has repeatedly spoken out about his daughter and has insisted that he will continue to do so until she contacts him.

Markle Sr also said in his most recent interview that he is the one who made Meghan 'the woman she is today' – a view enthusiastically supported by the Duchess of Sussex' estranged half-sister Samantha, 53, via Twitter.

In a move likely to cause further embarrassment for the Royal Family, Samantha, who is writing a book about her sister, is slated to appear on Celebrity Big Brother in the UK.

The news that she had been 'confirmed' for the show came shortly after Meghan's future sister-in-law Darlene Blount was arrested for allegedly blacking her half-brother Thomas Markle Jr's eye during a drunken row a week ago.

The source said Meghan is aware of her father's public comments but is focused on more important things

Blount later told that the fight started after she decided to meet a friend at a bar without him, which led to an argument as they made their way home.

Markle Jr, 51, said the 37-year-old accidentally struck him with her elbow as she leaned over to get her purse as she attempted to get out of the car.

He went on to call the cops who later arrived at their Grants Pass, Oregon, home and arrested Blount who then spent two nights in the Josephine County Jail.

Despite the altercation, the couple say they plan to stay together and have couples and alcohol counseling, although their wedding has now been postponed until next year.

My view: People say Thomas Markle is ruthless and heartless, Meghan is the same as her Dad, I don't get why the former actress is now getting her friend or a source close to her to tell the media a reconciliation is unlikely to happen any time soon and said the pair have had problems for years. When Meghan was interviewed by Vanity Fair she talks of her Dad and in every TV interview she has proudly told the host My Dad the Hollywood director, she even wrote about her Dad on her blog she said, 'my Dad we are so close. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Meghan revealed how her parents "had been so supportive," particularly her dad, who "knew how hard it is for an actor to get work."But before she found her own fame. Thomas Markle fostered her acting ambitions by volunteering to work on the sets for her school plays, as well as letting her join him on professional sets. "Every day after school for 10 years, I was on the set of Married with Children," Meghan told Esquire. She added, "There were a lot of times my dad would say, 'Meg, why don't you go and help with the craft services room over there?. This is just a little off-color for your 11-year-old eyes". But Meghan disclosed the most detail of how devoted her Dad was to her in a post she shared from her now-defunct blog, The Tig (via the Daily Mail). In a lovely Father's Day tribute, Meghan recalled father-daugther fishing trips, ballet classes that he "religiously took me to on Saturday mornings after working 75+ hours a week," and his encouragement of her photography hobby, which included Thomas Markle going so far as to convert her bathroom into a darkroom when she was 12-years-old. "My dad taught me to find my light," she wrote. We're not crying, you're crying. Wow, and now she doesn't want to know her father this is heartbreaking. It's either Meghan and her father are playing the world and her husband Harry so she can have public sympathy and her Dad is ready to take the blame and brutal criticism, by talking to the press to make her look good while she play the victim card or she wants to drag-down the Royal family through her father, because she has sacrifice her Hollywood life for a conservative one without freedom of speech, this is the only way she can get back at the Royals, through her father's kiss and tell in the media. Something is just not right. Meghan and her father are still very close, she's pretending and crying fake to those close to her, father and daughter are liars. When the Royal family allowed Harry to marry this woman without vetting her and her lies, they made the decision, they should act accordingly and not just snub Mr Markle, he doesn't deserve the treatment from "calculated" Meghan. Why can't the Royal family see that there's something wrong with Meghan, who doesn't want anything to do with the black side of her family, her father and her siblings, as they're all not good and posh enough for her Royal status. It's so sad.
