Mans grabs weapon from car's boot in vicious street fight as lone woman bravely tries to break i

A young man races to the boot of a car to grab a weapon during a vicious street brawl that saw at least half a dozen men fighting.

Terrifying footage shows the young man run back to a silver VW's boot to grab a socket wrench to use in the brutal confrontation.

Seconds later he was seen whacking another thug with it, the Birmingham Mail reports.

A lone woman was also caught on camera bravely trying to step in and stop the men fighting.

The concerned woman who can be seen in the clip dressed in a jilbab - a long loose fitting garment worn by Muslim women - desperately tries to stop the men fighting.

It is not clear if she knows any of the men involved, or if she is simply trying to stop the brawl, but she races over and pulls one of the men away.

The man who is pulled from another one is then asked to stop by the woman who lifts her to palms towards him.

As the brawl continues at the back of the car, she then spots another young man high-kick another, and she again races towards the danger.

The footage shot by a passer-by starts showing the fight involving young men in full flow on the junction of Alum Rock Road and College Road, in Alum Rock, around 8pm, on Tuesday.

At least one young child witnessed the fight which ended with in a tense stand-off.

Some of the men return to the VW Golf while others mull around licking their wounds.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We received a call at just after 8.20pm to reports of a disorder. Officers attended and there was no trace of anyone.”

The video comes just days after a man with a machete was spotted in Birmingham City Centre.

CCTV footage shows the victim stood brushing his hair by a bench when an apparent stranger pulls out what appears to be a big knife from his trousers.

The attacker then violently strikes the unidentified man's back with the blade and hits him on the shoulder during the shocking incident said to be recorded in the Square Shopping precinct on Friday.

My view: That's a brave woman, she didn't even care about her safety.
