Shocking moment Man with huge machete attacks stranger in the middle of the street in Birmingham

This is the chilling moment a man appears to pull out a huge machete and attack a bystander in Birmingham city centre, Daily Mail reported.

The victim was recorded standing by benches when another man approaches from the side.

As the man started to walk away, the attacker drew a large weapon which resembled a machete and struck him on the back.

The victim attempted to move away but the second man slowly moved towards him as passers-by looked on.

The Dale End section of the city centre has been hit by a string of crime issues this year, including problems with gangs of youths, Metro reported

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Dale End on May 1, after police were called to ‘pockets of disorder.’

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: ‘No-one is believed to have been injured but a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and a 14-year-old was told to leave the area under dispersal powers.

‘A Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) is in place within the area which enables officers to move on anyone who is suspected of causing anti-social behaviour.

‘There will be a visible police presence today to enforce such powers and ensure the safety of the wider community.

We are working with partners to crackdown on anti-social behaviour and nuisance in and around the city centre.’

A woman armed with a rolling pin was arrested following a 30 strong gathering in Dale End on March 30. And cops were called to the Square to disperse crowds after fighting was reported on January 31.
