Woman slips note to her dog’s vet saying her ‘boyfriend was keeping her captive’

Metro reports that, A woman allegedly being held captive by her boyfriend slipped a note onto her dog’s vet telling them to call the police.

The unnamed woman alleged that Jeremy Floyd held her captive for two days during which time he beat her and threatened her at gunpoint.

the woman convinced Floyd, 39, that their dog needed to go to the vet where she was able to slip a note to an employee at DeLand Animal Hospital.

The note read: ‘Call the cops, my boyfriend is threatening me. He has a gun. Please don’t let him know,’ according to ABC News. Officers from the DeLand Police Department arrived at the animal hospital and arrested Irons.

She told police that Floyd ‘repeatedly battered her on Wednesday night, threatened her at gunpoint and physically prevented her from leaving their home’.

Floyd allegedly only agreed to travel to the vets accompanied with a gun, which he pointed at his girlfriend before threatening to kill her and her family while on the journey there.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said Floyd has previouly been charged with domestic violence, aggravated assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and simple battery.

He is being held at Volusia County Branch Jail without bail.
