Nigeria: CAN vows to go after pastors involved in human trafficking

The umbrella group for Christians also condemned what it described as the killings by herdsmen in Edo State and other parts of the country, admonishing government to establish cattle ranching, rather than cattle colonies.

Addressing journalists in Benin, the Edo State capital, state Chairman of CAN, Bishop Oriname Kure, who described human trafficking as a sin against God and man, said the activities of traffickers, which had led to deaths of thousands of youths, are worrisome and declared that any pastor involved in the act, either through prayers or directly, is an enemy of the church, Vanguard News reported.

Bishop Oriname Kure said, “the Bible is the spiritual force that binds us all as Christians. Anyone involved in human trafficking, while claiming to be a pastor, is lying.

“CAN is saying to such pastors, repent. God is against it, our culture is against it, our religion is against it and CAN condemns it in totality.

“We commend Governor Godwin Obaseki for his efforts so far in fighting the illicit trade and urge those involved to stop it or face the wrath of God.”

My view: Some of these fake

pastors wants to be seen in

the best exotic cars, private

jets and designers outfits, so

they'll do anything for money
