SHOCKING: WOMAN ADMITS SLITTING HER 34-YEAR-OLD SISTER'S THROAT AND HACKING OFF HER HAND WHILE H
A WOMAN has admitted slitting her own sister's throat and hacking off her hand in the house they shared while her children were asleep inside.
Sabah Khan, 27, is facing a life sentence after stabbing her older sister - mum of four Saima Khan - to death at the family home in Luton, Bedfordshire.
Sabah Khan today admitted slitting her sister's throat and hacking off her hand in a frenzied knife attack at the home they shared while four children slept upstairs
Family members, including 34-year-old Saima's taxi driver husband Hafeez Rehman, were at a local mosque attending a late night funeral at the time of the attack on May 23, last year.
The care worker was found slumped in a pool of blood in the hallway of her semi-detached home at about 11.30pm.
At first detectives investigated claims that a burglar had got into the property had carried out the killing.
Today Sabah Khan appeared at the Old Bailey to plead guilty to a single charge of the murder of her sister.
Khan previously denied murder but changed her plea to guilty on the first day of her trial at the Old Bailey today.
She appeared in custody wearing a black top and black trousers.
Her barrister Jo Sidhu QC asked that the case be adjourned and that she should be sentenced later this week.
