EVERTON FAN HOLDING A CHILD HITS LYON GOALKEEPER ANTHONY LOPES AS UGLY FIGHT SPILLS INTO THE CROWD D
Everton have said they will ban for life the fan who hit Lyon goalkeeper while carrying a child with a dummy in his mouth during a Europa League match last night.
The club revealed they had identified the supporter following an internal investigation into the disturbances and registered a formal complaint against the individual with Merseyside Police.
It is reported that the police have opened their own investigation following the ugly mass brawl between players that spilled into the crowd during Everton's Europa League match at home to Lyon at Goodison Park.
During the scuffle, the supporter tried to attack Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes after Everton captain Ashley Williams started the fight, he had pushed the player into the advertising display board.
