A pregnant woman was reportedly turned away by a restaurant staff for wearing a crop top that showed off her baby bump.

Charisha Gobin who is seven-and-a-half months pregnant, went out for a meal with her family at the Buzz Inn Steakhouse wearing the short T-shirt and a long white skirt.

Charisha Gobin, who is seven months pregnant with twins says she was refused entry to a restaurant for wearing a crop top

But when she arrived at the Seattle based establishment she was told she had violated their "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy and was refused entry.

She says the waitress told her: "I’m sorry, you can’t be here in that shirt."

Charisha, who is carrying twins, a boy and a girl claims she feels "body shamed" by the restaurant.

She told local news site KIRO-TV: "Just because my belly was bigger and sticking out.

"But had it been anyone else, I don't think there would've been any problem whatsoever.

"It's pretty ridiculous I was shamed in the first place and had to drive across town to eat."

After being turned away, the mum-to-be took to Facebook to post a picture of the outfit she was wearing, a small black top emblazoned with the word "weirdo" and a long flowing white skirt.

The picture was accompanied by the statement: "I was just denied service at the Buzz Inn on State Avenue in Marysville for my outfit. I'm violating the health code."

Buzz Inn Steakhouse said in a statement they "sincerely apologise" for the "misunderstanding."

They added that the waitress has been there 20 years and "was trying to use her best judgement."

Culled from The Sun

My opinion: Why didn't you dress appropriately to the restaurant, and how can you accuse the restaurant for body shaming you, when you shared your story and picture on Facebook. I guess if she was a celebrity the restaurant would welcome her with open arms, as some don't even care what the celebs wear even if they go braless in a see-through top.
