The Times reports- that if there is a hung parliament Jeremy Corbyn will take power as most polls suggest the prospect is growing more feasible.

The paper added Labour would try to form a minority government, if there was an inconclusive election result, and may have to rely on Scottish National Party votes to implement its policies.

The Times also reports that the commitment, given by shadow home secretary Emily Thornberry, is designed to prevent Tory claims of a "coalition of chaos".

The Times concluded that the move would invite further questions about how Labour would behave without an outright majority.
