Kushner, according to The Washington Post, attempt to establish a secret "backchannel" with the Russians in a December meeting with ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The Post reported that the FBI, which is in the midst of an ongoing investigation into Russia meddling into the 2016 election and possible collusion with some elements of the Trump campaign found that meeting to be of "investigative interest."

That may be the biggest negative story about Kushner that was in the national media at the end of last week, but it wasn't the only one. Reuters reported that Kushner had at least three previously unreported contacts with Kislyak both during and after the 2016 campaign. Then, on Monday night, The New York Times reported that federal investigators are trying to figure out why Kushner met with Russian banker Sergey Gorkov shortly after the meeting with Kislyak reported by the Post

Some analyst says it's smart diplomacy while majority think it's inappropriate and possibly illegal for Kushner to suggest "backchanel" line of communication.

Reportedly Kushner has his strong team around him working on every part of his portfolio.

According to Politico:

"Some allies and aides say Jared Kushner, a top adviser who is under scrutiny for his business ties and communications with Russian officials, is also on shaky ground, even though Trump is unlikely to let his own son-in-law go."

It is also reported that Trump seems increasingly frustrated by how the Russia story is overshadowing all other conversations about his administration and what he believes to be a number of underreported successes.

And the fact that it is known that Kushner isn't exactly the most beloved figure in the White House, having already had a very public fall-out with senior strategist Steve Bannon back in April.

Jared Kushner is unstoppable and unmovable, Trump will never sack him as he listens to his daughter Ivanka a lot, who is Kushner's wife and they are the only two people he trust with everything in the White House.

Raging dictator Trump therefore blame other people for the ongoing Russia story.

Even with all the scandals Kushner is facing, his father in-law Trump still came out to support him.

Trump told told the Times Sunday night-“Jared is doing a great job for the country. I have total confidence in him,” “He is respected by virtually everyone and is working on programs that will save our country billions of dollars. In addition to that, and perhaps more importantly, he is a very good person.”

Trump's statement to the Times comes after White House officials refused to comment on Kushner during a press briefing on Saturday.

Jared Kushner the powerful untouchable son in-law is going nowhere.
