BUHARI, 74, SUFFERING FROM OLD AGE NOT SICKNESS SAYS HIS COUSIN MALAM ADNAN NA-HABU AS PRESIDENT ATT
President Muhammadu Buhari, pictured, along with the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, the National Security Adviser, Mohammed Babagana Monguno, and other officials, attended the Juma’at prayers in the Presidential Villa.
This comes less than 48 hours after the President missed the Federal Executive Council Meeting for the third time since his return from medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
Buhari’s absence at the weekly FEC meeting last week had sparked speculation about his health with 13 activists, including, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, calling on him to proceed on a medical leave to attend to his health.
Buhari Attends Jumaat Prayers Amid Health Speculations
The president’s cousin urges Nigerians to focus on the performance of Buhari and not his age Malam Adnan Na-Habu, a cousin to President Muhammadu Buhari and the official spokesman for the family has attributed the president’s current health challenges to old age.
Na-Habu dismissed the concern that President Buhari’s health condition may prevent him from running the affairs of the country.
It is reported that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, and other government officials, including the President’s wife, Aisha Buhari, have, however, assured Nigerians that that there is no cause for alarm over his health.
They also said he was carrying out his responsibilities as President, while also following his doctor’s orders that he should take things slowly.
My opinion: Buhari should resign as he is very ill and medication helps him to attend some functions.
The president can't continue to hold the country to ransom.
If Buhari doesn't want to resign voluntarily he should be impeached.
How can his cousin say that the 'president is not sick' but suffering from old age, he is 74, Donald Trump is 70 and still very strong and Prince Phillip who is 95 only retired on Thursday.
Except Buhari is older than the 74 he claimed to be.
He must go as he is of no use to the nation, since other people are running the Government.
