Bill O'Reilly has left the Fox News Channel in the wake of persistent accusations of workplace sexual harassment, he left a program that has been the top-rated prime-time cable show for the past 18 years.

The decision was clearly an effort to repair its reputation after The New York Times reported on April 1 that O'Reilly and the network have paid out about $13 million to settle claims of "sexual harassment."

In recent weeks the veteran news-anchor has been accused by several women of sexual harassment either in an office setting or on the Fox News production set. The charge and its fallout have been out in the public for weeks, and the final showdown came Wednesday afternoon in a brief statement.

“After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O'Reilly have agreed that Bill O'Reilly will not be returning to the Fox News Channel,” the network said.

In a statement released later Wednesday evening, Mr. O'Reilly called it “tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims. But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today.”

The situation has been boiling for weeks and picked up considerable speed when Mr. O'Reilly’s attorney, Marc Kasowitz, earlier this week said his client was the victim of a “brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America.”

My opinion: It is ironic that these three powerful men, Bill O'Reilly, Roger Ailes and Donald Trump have the same thing in-common, they are all perverts and both Bill O'Reilly and Roger Ailes have paid out some money to settle sexual harassment cases.

While the President Donald Trump got away with his comment "Grab them by their p***y", as he was ultimately elected president by his supporters. Trump also settled his Fake University FRAUD case with $25million.

Accused sexual predator Donald Trump is rushing to defend his friend accused sexual predator Bill O’Reilly, how ironic is that!!!.

Despite the fact that controversial former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly recently paid $13 million to five different women in a sexual harassment lawsuit settlement, President Trump is proudly and arrogantly defending the conservative news icon, who has been one of the leading voices of conservative media for years.

“[O’Reilly] is a good person,” Trump told the New York Times when asked about the settlement the Fox pundit reached with the plaintiffs. “I think he shouldn’t have settled; personally I think he shouldn’t have settled. Because you should have taken it all the way. I don’t think Bill did anything wrong.”

Trump’s reaction doesn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who heard and saw the leaked Access Hollywood audio from late in the 2016 election, in which Trump privately boasted to Billy Bush — not long after marrying his third wife, Melania — that he likes to grab women by their genitalia without their consent.

“When you’re a star, you can do anything,” Trump said at the time.

So when will Fox News board of Directors ask some of their female staff to dress appropriately to work, because some of them show too much cleavage when presenting or analysing.

Some women complained that Bill O'Reilly, stare at their boobs/cleavage or whatever and made sexual comments, hello!!!! where did you expect him to look? at your feet, your hair or your eyes, of course O'Reilly is not going to look at those things but your boobs that you deliberately flaunted, so why can't you dress appropriately to work?.

Women should know there is time and place for everything, especially the way we present ourselves at work.

80% of women who are sexually harassed daily at work are properly dressed and they still get abused by their bosses. And if some women now deliberately show off massive cleavage at work just to get noticed and promotion, you then get secret predators like O'Reilly harassing them.

When will the so called Feminists Organisations advice women to dress appropriately to work and stop attracting attention.

Finally some Fox News female staff are embarrassing to watch when they are presenting or analysing because all you see is their huge cleavage and some of them wear very short dresses that you see their underwear. And also Fox News have the best looking female employees most of them are blondes. It's like there is no room for any ordinary looking lady.
