BREAKING NEWS: SYRIAN ACTIVISTS REPORT GAS ATTACK, CLAIMS ASSAD IS TO BLAME
Dozens of people were reportedly asphyxiated to death and scores injured in Syria Tuesday from airstrikes that gave off “poisonous gas,” according to activist groups.
CNN reports that opposition groups immediately blamed President Bashar Assad for the attack in Khan Sheikhoun in Idlib province around 6:30 a.m.
Locals also reported a second round of attacks without any poisonous gas.
It is reported that Activists tried to evacuate victims, including children, to Turkey and reported conflicting death tolls, from at least 67 to up to 100.
The Syrian Coalition — an opposition group — compared the incident on Twitter to a well-known gas attack in 2013 in eastern Ghouta, near Damascus, “which the international community allowed to go unpunished.”
