Cristiano Ronaldo at 32 might be on the wane - statistically he is down in key area
While Lionel Messi was said to have the natural ability, Ronaldo had to work for it.
Though his role has changed over time, he has shown he can still be relied on when required.
Ronaldo beat Messi to four Ballon d'Ors, including last year's. In 2016, he also won the Champions League with Madrid and the European Championships with Portugal.
Time appears to be catching up with Cristiano Ronaldo, as he his in thirties. That's what the statistics shows, anyway.
The Real Madrid star is scoring 0.89 goals a game in 2016-17 – his worst ratio since signing for Real Madrid.

My opinion: Ronaldo's year was 2015-16, he was strong and everywhere, he performed very well and nobody can take that away from him, but every good thing always comes to an end so as to make way for others.
I believe Cristiano Ronaldo psychologically feels he has done everything and won all the trophies in football, that's what his mind is telling him, and he's in a stage where his mental focus is no longer 100% football but other businesses so they clash.
Ronaldo still have two more years of football then he will retire as he's on top.
