MANCHESTER UNITED 1-0 ROSTOV (AGG 2-1): JUAN MATA FIRES MOURINHO'S SIDE INTO EUROPA LEAGUE QUART
Man-United boss Jose Mourinho made five changes from Chelsea loss, bringing in Eric Bailly, Daley Blind and Juan Mata among others

Juan Mata's goal was a lovely winner, scored on the counter-attack just when Rostov had introduced striker Aleksandr Bukharov from the substitutes' bench and were looking dangerous.
Some people reckon Paul Pogba will come good later.
While others think, Pogba will remain the same
Jose Mourinho's side may be through to the quarter-finals of the Europa League but that doesn’t mean he is a happy man tonight going by what he said in his interview.
"We have lots of enemies. Normally the enemies should be Rostov but we have a lot of enemies.
It’s difficult to play Monday with 10 men, it’s difficult to play now, it’s difficult to play 12pm on Sunday. We have a lot of enemies.
A lot of people might say we should have scored more goals, but a lot of things are going against us. A lot of things.
The boys are amazing boys. We will probably lose the game on Sunday now."
For this is a debut season going from bad to worse for the world’s most expensive footballer who suffered a fresh blow as he limped off against FC Rostov on Thursday night after pulling up sharply just after half time.
Rostov couldn't just wait and defend as they did in the first-half.
Eventually, they had to start playing, they had to try to get that away goal, and that made the match open.
And when this happened, Manchester United, as the better side, siezed the opportunity and picked them off with a goal on 70 minutes. So UEFA's system works. The best side goes through to the quarter-finals, the one with less ambition goes home to think again.

Mourinho claimed before Thursday night’s Europa League clash that people are envy of Paul Pogba and it was driving the backlash against the £89 million star.
But after a bad opening 45 minutes against the Russian side maybe even Mourinho was left wondering whether his show of public display of support for Pogba was a wise move.
