Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was humiliated as his Party lost Copeland to the Tories in the worst by-election defeat for an Opposition since 1945.

Conservatives humiliates Labour in Copeland as the Tories take the seat
There was a little comfort for Labour as it fought off the challenge from UKIP leader Paul Nuttall in much safer Stoke-on-Trent Central.
Jeremy Corbyn issued a statement within minutes of the result overnight and said he welcomed Labour hold in Stoke as a 'decisive rejection of UKIP's politics of division'.
'But our message was not enough to win through in Copeland,' he admitted.
'Both constituencies, like so many, have been let down by the political establishment.
'To win power to rebuild and transform Britain, Labour will go further to reconnect with voters, and break with the failed political consensus.'
Mrs Harrison in her speech after winning Copeland said: 'It's been very clear talking to people throughout this campaign that Jeremy Corbyn doesn't represent them'
Labour backbencher Neil Coyle was angry about Jeremy Cobyn's response to the humiliating defeat in Copeland
MPs accused the Labour leader of 'insulting' the public's intelligence after his allies strangely hailed the disastrous showing - which saw mother-of-four Trudy Harrison win the by-election with a 2,000 majority - as an 'incredible achievement'.
My opinion- If the Labour Party led by Jeremy Corbyn can't Hold it own seat in a by-election against Theresa May's Government that was faced with protests and criticisms for inviting Donald Trump, how can he win a General election?!
