Tom Davies watched his brilliant shot drop in
He said: “Coming into the game, it was a test for me to see where I was as a player, coming up against Toure.
“What it has shown me is that if I keep working hard I can reach the level they are at. To beat City 4-0 is unbelievable, really.
“I’d never have dreamed I would be in a game or in a team where City have been beaten 4-0.”

The whole ground went wild, half an hour later Davies was playing it down.
He added: “My touch got away from me, so when I saw the keeper coming I just thought I’d lift it over him.
“I’m just thankful it ended up in the back of the net.”

Davies ran rings around City's mighty superstars
He admitted: “They have helped me a lot and my game is improving because of them.
“The manager told me to be aware of players running in behind me, especially with the players they have got, like Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.
“It was something I had to be aware of and something I’m working on.
“When you see the substitutes getting ready to come on, you think it could be you. But he left me on and I am thankful for that.”
