The FA and Aston Villa led tributes saying they were 'deeply saddened.'
Sir Elton John said: 'He was like a brother to me. We share an unbreakable bond since we first met.'
A family's statement said: 'with the greatest sadness, we have to announce that Graham passed away at his home early this morning -Thursday of a suspected heart attack.
'The family are devastated by the sudden death and totally unexpected loss.'
