Unpopular Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho insists staff must open up Old Trafford rather than the training ground for the session as Christmas is cancelled

Players and staff usually get to enjoy Christmas Day at home after a run-out at United's Carrington training ground.

However this year, as United sit in 6th place in the Premier League table, Mourinho has called time on Turkey and Champaigne and will ask the players to report at Old Trafford for trainining

In previous years former United boss Louis van Gaal has even given everyone, including players, the day off to be at home with their families.
